Refreshed?

Technology can be temperamental at times. Minor issues may occur if the app has been open too long or if the websocket hasn’t closed correctly.

If you’re experiencing a problem:

  • Swipe the app out of Recents to fully close it. This performs a hard refresh and often resolves the issue.
  • If you’re unsure whether the issue is with the app or the tablet, restart your device completely.

For Apple and Android devices: hold down the Power (Off) button until the restart option appears, then follow the prompts.

Logged Out Recently?

Seeing a blank screen when you load the app? Try logging out and back in.

If a device has been left logged in for an extended period, the app’s JWT token may not refresh in time. This can cause features to fail. Logging out refreshes your token and should restore normal functionality.

Check Wi-Fi

A common cause of issues is a drop in Wi-Fi connection. Without Wi-Fi, Beamy’s systems cannot communicate properly, which may lead to syncing errors or slow performance.

Steps to check your Wi-Fi:

  1. On the affected device, turn Wi-Fi off, then back on.
  2. If the problem persists, restart your router by turning Wi-Fi off and back on at the source.

App Updates

Beamy regularly releases new features, maintenance updates, and bug fixes. To avoid issues, make sure your app is up to date.

  • Check for updates in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Some devices update automatically, but if you encounter an issue, manually confirm that you’re running the latest version.
